gongfu.club (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our tea journaling service.

We believe in minimal data collection. We only gather what's necessary to provide you with a meaningful tea journaling experience.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and the username you choose. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google—we don't access your Google contacts, calendar, or other data.

Tea Journal Entries

Your tea entries include the tea name, your notes, and optional details like vessel, temperature, and steep count. By default, entries are public and visible to other users. You can mark individual entries as private.

Usage Data

We collect anonymous analytics to understand how people use gongfu.club—things like page views and feature usage. We use Vercel Analytics, which doesn't track individual users or use cookies.

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the tea journaling service
• Display your public entries in the community feed
• Send you important service updates (rarely)
• Improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns

We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads. We don't share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data is stored securely on Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database service. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our database is hosted in the United States.

You have the right to:

• Access — View all the data we have about you
• Export — Download your tea journal entries
• Delete — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Correct — Update your information at any time

We use minimal cookies—only what's necessary for authentication (keeping you logged in) and storing your theme preference (light/dark mode). We don't use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

gongfu.club is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through a notice on the site. Your continued use of gongfu.club after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
